On an overcast Monday morning, Kevin Durant was lurched over, offering handshakes and high fives to an excited group of kids at North Highland Elementary.
Dressed in a gray hoodie that matched the court with his name on it, the Thunder star spoke appreciatively to the crowd of wide-eyed youngsters, who were holding handmade signs which read “KD's got the juice,” “KD Rocks,” and “Bring home a championship.”
“As a kid I enjoyed playing outside so much that I wanted to give everybody that feeling that I had,” Durant said. “I appreciate everybody coming out, and we want to keep it going.
