OKC Thunder journal: Steven Adams' preseason starts with ankle injury against Real Madrid

Thunder center Steven Adams left the Thunder's 142-137 preseason loss against Real Madrid in the second quarter Monday with what the team is calling a right ankle sprain.

Adams looked to roll his ankle when he landed on another player's foot after scoring on an 11-foot floater for the Thunder. Adams limped down the court as the play was stopped and was immediately subbed out for Kyle Singler with 3:11 remaining in the period.

Adams was visibly frustrated as he went to the sideline, mouthing words to himself, then walked straight back to the locker room with Thunder trainer Joe Sharpe.
