OAKLAND, Calif. — In prefacing a pregame question regarding free agency, a reporter said to Kevin Durant, “I'm sure in most cities you go, people ask you about free agency…”
“Actually, they don't,” Durant cut him off.
But in Oakland, following the recent rumors about the Warriors as a potential landing spot, he had to know they were coming. And they did.
Durant, predictably, downplayed the topic.
“It's hard not to enter your mind, there's a lot of uncertainty with what's going on because I haven't really thought that far,” Durant said. “But I just try to focus on playing basketball, man.
