Shai Gilgeous-Alexander once snuck through a window to get into Kentucky’s gym during his freshman season. As a rookie with the Clippers, Gilgeous-Alexander abused his around-the-clock access to the team’s practice facility.
“He just has no balance,” Dwayne Washington said. “It’s just basketball.”
Washington shared the tales of Gilgeous-Alexander’s boundless work ethic, but said he’s seen more structure in Gilgeous-Alexander’s schedule over the last three months.
For six days a week, from late March to mid-June, Gilgeous-Alexander worked out at Royal Crown Academic School in Toronto. The Thunder guard practiced from 9 to 11 a.m. every day except Sundays.
