After opening the 2019-20 season on the road in a loss to the Utah Jazz the club returns home for their home opener at Chesapeake Energy Arena. The opponent is the Washington Wizards who also lost their season opener on the road to the Dallas Mavericks.
The match in Utah was much closer than the final score indicates with the Thunder being in the mix right down to the final minute of the game.
Both of these two teams had a high roster turnover in the off-season. In the season opener the OKC Thunder newcomers did well.
