Several times this season, Steven Adams threw up a free throw and it looked bad from the start.
The foul shot looked more like a shotput throw from his Olympic champion sister Valerie Adams — no spin, hard and straight. Adams regressed from the foul line, shooting 50 percent — the lowest mark of his six-year career despite going to the line a career-high 292 times.
Adams wasn’t afraid to go the line. The problem was when he got there.
"I'm just trying to go up regardless of the free throws because, again, it's a huge benefit," Adams said.
