Troy Weaver, the Thunder's vice president of basketball operations, has emerged as a serious candidate for Pistons general manager job, according to ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski.
Clippers assistant general manger Mark Hughes and Nets assistant general manager Jeff Peterson are also in the mix, according to Wojnarowski.
Weaver has been considered for several other general manager jobs in the past, most recently when the Wizards were seeking a new GM a year ago.
Weaver has been with the franchise since before it was in Oklahoma City. Sam Presti, then in his second year as the general manager of the Seattle SuperSonics, hired Weaver in 2008.
