Thunder chairman Clay Bennett will serve as an inaugural board member of the National Basketball Social Justice Coalition, the NBA and Players Association announced Friday.
The mission of the Social Justice Coalition is to leverage the game's influence to raise awareness and advocate for reform, according to a release. Voting access and criminal justice reform will be among the specific areas of focus.
Bennett is one of five owners who will help lead the coalition. He'll join Micky Arison of the Heat, Steve Ballmer of the Clippers, Marc Lasry of the Bucks and Vivek Ranadive of the Kings.
