For the second straight game, promising Thunder rookie Cameron Payne is on the inactive list, joined by Josh Huestis.
It's a bit of a numbers game for Payne. Unlike last year, the Thunder is fully healthy entering the season. Two guys on this loaded roster are forced to wear suits. An argument could be made for Steve Novak, an aging sharpshooter who isn't likely to get minutes.
But before the Spurs game, Billy Donovan opted for more frontcourt depth over a third-string point guard. For the Magic game, Donovan said he kept Novak active and Payne inactive as a matter of consistency.
