Well, that was a bummer. The OKC Thunder really laid an egg in Atlanta tonight, losing to the Hawks 142-126.
This loss hurts all the worse because the Western Conference standings are so congested, with any loss causing immediate repercussions. There are very few wins in the West, so these should-be-freebies are more important than ever.
Aside from that, the Thunder had a legitimate reason to get up for this game – this was Dennis Schröder’s return to his former home arena, and it can be reasonable assumed that he wanted this one badly. Yet, still, the Thunder brought no effort.
