Allie Quigley walked to the left wing, or the closest thing to it on her driveway court, and described her upcoming attempt: a banked-in shot while sitting.
ESPN’s Mark Jones explained that Pete Maravich was the inspiration behind the trick shot, but Chris Paul interrupted.
“Hey, hey,” Paul said. “Enough of all that. I just hope she misses.”
Quigley, of course, did not. It was one of several shots she practiced leading up to her win against the Thunder point guard in the NBA HORSE Challenge last Sunday. Paul was eliminated without ever holding a lead.
