With preseason closing in, the OKC Thunder are poised to enter training camp light on font court help. With Patrick Patterson the only legitimate power forward on the roster, it would be wise for Oklahoma City to acquire another player capable of playing the four.
A player of interest is New Orleans Pelicans forward Cheick Diallo.
In 52 games last season, the 21 year-old power forward averaged 4.9 points and 4.1 rebounds in 11.2 minutes per game on 58 percent shooting. While extremely raw on the offensive end, Diallo’s huge motor and affinity for running on the break allows him to put pressure on opposing defenses.
