The OKC Thunder continued its offseason make-over, adding 10-time All-Star Carmelo Anthony to its ranks in pursuit of the franchise’s first NBA championship. Enes Kanter, Doug McDermott and a 2018 second round pick were packaged together to bring Anthony to Loud City. While this solidified OKC as a legitimate contender, it also continued the Thunder’s front court exodus.
This offseason alone has witnessed the departure of Domantas Sabonis (trade), Taj Gibson (free agency) and Kanter from the front line, leaving OKC thin on bigs. The bulk of the front court minutes will be presumably go to Steven Adams and Patrick Patterson while pinch minutes will be given to Nick Collison and rookie Dakari Johnson.
