Following Saturday’s game, at The Oklahoman’s request, NBA crew chief Ron Garretson addressed additional questions about a second-quarter incident between the Thunder and Blazers.
Portland's Jusuf Nurkic and Thunder center Steven Adams were running down the court in the second quarter, when Nurkic appeared to veer to his left and shoulder block Adams to the ground. When the play was stopped for a foul on Nurkic, Adams got up and walked into Nurkic's direction as Russell Westbrook stepped in between the two and pushed Nurkic away.
After an officials' review by the NBA Replay Center, the Nurkic hit was determined to be a common foul.
