Some of those NBA.com defense statistics can be deceptive. It doesn’t account for players getting clean shots off against no contest when their defender is screened. But it also doesn’t account for George simply denying Butler the ball.

*This seems simple, but George does this so often it deserves mention: Staying with the play after getting screened. These are the kind of plays which make the Thunder lethal. It’s no secret the Thunder isn’t a good halfcourt offensive team, but when it can turn teams over, particularly with George single-handedly destroying a possession like this, it creates confusion and floor imbalance in transition for opposing defenses.
