Non-shooting fouls a symptom of Thunder malaise vs. Cleveland

The Thunder wasn’t good on offense and wasn’t good on defense and that’s how you get beat 115-92 at home, by Cleveland on Sunday. But this game was more than just stagnant offense or missing shots. This game was more about defensive confusion.

This was a mental game, and that’s troubling.

This was a competitive game, Cavs up 68-62 midway through the third quarter, when Serge Ibaka missed a shot. On the rebound, Steven Adams was called for a foul, and Tristan Thompson went to the foul line and sank two.

Then Kevin Durant’s pass was tipped by LeBron James, Kevin Love grabbed the ball and Durant fouled him, in part to keep LeBron from a breakaway dunk.
