The Oklahoma City Thunder has partnered with the Kansas City Royals to host Thunder Night at Kauffman Stadium on Saturday, July 23.
Thunder forward Nick Collison, a former star with the Kansas Jayhawks, is scheduled to throw out the ceremonial first pitch before the Royals take on the Texas Rangers.
Rumble the Bison, Thunder Girls, Thunder Drummers and Storm Chasers also will take part in the theme night. The OG&E ThunderBolt, the team's traveling interactive experience, will be set up to allow fans to experience Thunder entertainment through measure-ups, a photo both, trivia and more.
"We are extremely excited to partner with the Kansas City Royals and incorporate the Thunder experience into their game," said Brian Byrnes, senior vice president of Sales and Marketing for the Thunder.
