Thunder center Nerlens Noel has passed the NBA-mandated concussion protocol and will be available for the Thunder’s home game against the Lakers Thursday night, the team announced Thursday afternoon.
Noel missed three games after suffering a concussion in the Thunder’s 119-117 loss to the Timberwolves last week. He was taken to OU Medical Center that night and released the next day.
Since being released from the hospital, Noel has made steady progress with no setbacks, according to Thunder coach Billy Donovan. On Wednesday, Noel participated in the Thunder’s non-contact practice. His reaction to that shooting and skill work was set to determine his next step.
