Hamidou Diallo's two-handed dunk sparked an exclamation from the Summer League crowd at Cox Pavilion in Las Vegas Saturday afternoon.
Then a groan spread through the arena when he was issued a technical foul for hanging on the rim. Technical or not, the dunk brought good news to the Thunder: Diallo’s elbow seemed fully healthy.
In his first game back from an arthroscopic surgery on his right elbow in April, Diallo led the Thunder with 20 points in a 78-66 loss in OKC’s Summer League opener.
Diallo’s two-handed slam came with two minutes left in the second quarter, just after Thunder Summer League coach Dave Bliss became the first coach to win a challenge in an Summer League game.
