Warriors-Cavaliers Game 1 is Thursday night, and Golden State faces a different kind of team than it vanquished in the Thunder. Cleveland is a 3-point shooting machine, but the Cavs don’t have the inside force of the Thunder. Of course, the Cavs also don’t have the defensive flexibility that OKC possesses.
This series should be very instructive for Thunder fans. It will show how much the Thunder needs (or doesn’t need) more 3-point shooting. It will also show how important Billy Donovan’s switching strategy was or wasn’t.
Cleveland won’t be able to switch on the perimeter with Kevin Love and Tristan Thompson the way the Thunder did with Serge Ibaka and Steven Adams.
