Malik Newman has had an interesting career to this point. From the savior of a program, to out the door. He now enters the NBA Draft and hopes to hear his name called June 21st.
Malik Newman started his career at Mississippi State. Newman was viewed as a corner stone in Ben Howland’s new program. However, things did not go as planned for the Bulldogs, or for Newman. Malik then transferred to Kansas to play a year under Bill Self, make a deep tournament run, then go to the NBA Draft.
In 2015-16, Newman posted 11-points-per-game for the Bulldogs, while shooting 39-percent from the field.
