The NBA All-Star Game rosters were announced Tuesday, and more holes were exposed in the goofy new format. The top two vote-getters, in this case LeBron James and Steph Curry, will serve as captains and pick their teams, playground style, from the cast of all-stars, regardless of conference.
The format is an absolute gimmick, of course, and would be anything beyond mildly interesting only if we got to view the selections. Who did LeBron choose first? Did Curry choose his Golden State teammates first? Alas, the NBA will take gimmicks only so far. Somebody’s feelings might be hurt if America was allowed to see the selections, so they will remain in the dark and will squeeze out in small leaks.
