The Oklahoma City Thunder dropped a 106-96 loss to the Utah Jazz on Tuesday night at Vivint Arena, but the result did not overshadow Luguentz Dort’s performance.
The second-year forward shined on both ends of the floor, but stole the show offensively with a career-high 42 points, including 18 in the fourth quarter that helped spur a late Thunder run.
Oklahoma City (20-34) cut what was a 25-point deficit to seven after Dort went 1-for-3 from the free throw line with just under 30 seconds remaining. The 21-year-old Canadian went 6-for-10 down the stretch and reignited the team with a quick spell with 3:12 left on the clock.
