Kyle Singler’s New Approach

In the middle of the injury riddled 2014-2015 season, the Oklahoma City Thunder acquired Kyle Singler from the Detroit Pistons. He was brought in to be a 3 and D wing off the bench. A player who could spot up and knock down a 3, but could also hold his own on the defensive end.

Singler was a career 37.9% from 3 when he was traded to the Thunder. Last season he had a hard time finding his shot and posted a career low 30.9% from 3. Even more troubling is he shot 27.3% on 3’s classified as wide open (shots where the closest defender is 6 or more feet away) according to NBA.
