The Oklahoma City Thunder used the 50th overall pick in the 2023 NBA Draft on Keyontae Johnson out of the University of Kansas State. Johnson has had an interesting path to get to this point. He started his collegiate career at the University of Florida, where he suffered a medical condition called Athletes Heart. That forced Johnson into a Medically induced coma that he not only made it out of but eventually returned to the hardwood.
Keyontae Johnson not only made it back to the court at Kansas State but played at an extremely high level for the Wildcats to put himself back on the NBA’s radar.
