Kevin Durant has the amazing knack of turning friends into enemies.
He did it with the state of Oklahoma. He did it with the Golden State Warriors. Now he’s done it with Kendrick Perkins.
By now, you know all about the Durant-Perk Twitter war. Perkins last Thursday announced he was about to go on SportsCenter and say why Russell Westbrook was the best Thunder player ever. That led to a Perkins exchange with Mark D’Amico, the Boston Celtics’ in-house writer, and eventually Durant joined the fray.
It all led to Durant denouncing Perkins’ contributions to the Thunder cause back in the glory days of 2011-14 and Perkins denouncing Durant’s jump to the Warriors, including words like “weak” and “coward.
