Kevin Durant's 'adopted brother' killed in Atlanta shooting

Clifford Dixon, a childhood friend of former Thunder forward Kevin Durant, was shot and killed outside of a metro Atlanta bar early Thursday morning, according to multiple reports.

The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reported that Dixon was shot multiple times in the parking lot of SL Lounge after 1 a.m. According to BET, Dixon was out celebrating his 32nd birthday.

Durant referred to Dixon as his "adopted brother" and was one of the friends Durant referenced in his 2013-14 Most Valuable Player speech in Oklahoma City.
