Kevin Durant tells Wall Street Journal he’ll ‘never be attached’ to Oklahoma City

Thunder forward Kevin Durant had some things to say about Oklahoma City and the Thunder organization to the Wall Street Journal.

In an interview published Tuesday online entitled “Kevin Durant’s New Headspace,” Durant said “I’ll never be attached to the city because of that,” referring to how he was treated by Thunder fans and the organization following him signing with the Golden State Warriors as a free agent in July of 2016.

“People coming to my house and spray-painting on the ‘For Sale’ signs around my neighborhood. People making videos in front of my house and burning my jerseys and calling me all types of crazy names,” Durant cited as reasons for his disassociation with Oklahoma City, as well as how he felt he was treated in his return with the Warriors in February 2017.
