Long ago in Kevin Durant's first two seasons in the NBA, the then-Seattle SuperSonics and the fledgling Oklahoma City Thunder were among the league's worst teams.
Durant's ninth season in the league has brought some perspective. The Thunder's 12-8 start this season has been riddled with inconsistent play on both ends of the floor, a college-to-pro transition for new coach Billy Donovan, and a hamstring injury that kept Durant on the sidelines for six games.
Even though the Thunder hasn't jumped out to a start like the Golden State Warriors or even the San Antonio Spurs, Durant says this season's start pales in comparison to his first seasons in the NBA.
