MOORE — On a hot July day, three groups crossed paths at the local Orange Leaf Yogurt shop, 660 SW 19, with three distinctly different goals, culminating in an unforgettable afternoon.
First, a group of preteens from the YMCA's Camp Classen arrived to tour and sample frozen treats — what could be better? Plenty.
Then there was Oklahoma City Thunder superstar Kevin Durant, whose surprise arrival was in concert with Orange Leaf to launch a challenge to kids across the country to come up with creative ways to improve their communities.
Then there was a handful of adults.
