The Oklahoma City Thunder selected Jalen Williams with the 12th overall pick in the 2022 NBA Draft. Since then, Williams has become the team’s starting power forward, an All-Rookie first-team member, and runner-up in the Rookie of the Year race. This time last year, two weeks before the draft, his Lottery placement was still uncertain. Many had him being a mid-to-late first-round pick after a meteoric rise at the NBA Draft Combine. Sam Presti pulled the trigger at pick 12, and so far, Williams is on pace to be one of the best talents from the class.
