PHOENIX – Once the worst free-throw shooting team in the NBA, the Thunder had climbed up three spots as of Sunday afternoon, improving to 71.8 percent from the line this season.
The Thunder's season-high 27 made free throws in a 110-100 win over the Suns Saturday contributed to that rise in the free throw percentage rankings.
“What we were able to do to offset their three-point shooting was make free throws,” Thunder coach Billy Donovan said after practice Sunday.
This was the same team that shot 14-of-25 from the line against Boston last month.
