A year ago, Paul George wanted to be a Laker.
He's never shied away from that, and the Thunder forward reiterated it in Tuesday night's final episode of “Paul George: My Journey,” the ESPN special that detailed the free-agency process that ended last Saturday with George committing to remain in Oklahoma City.
“I 100 percent appreciate Laker Nation for wanting me to come back home, wanting me to play in front of them,” George said in the episode. “I wanted to come here a year ago, prior to going to OKC. Unfortunately, wasn't traded to the Lakers.
