Preparing for the opponent on the second night of back-to-back games is always a little rushed. But on Monday, the Thunder at least had the advantage of knowing the Rockets’ most influential new addition better than any other team in the NBA.
“I think for everybody it’s going to be exciting, just competing against him” Thunder guard Dennis Schroder said of facing Russell Westbrook for the first time since OKC traded him to Houston. “I think he’s ready to go off, so we’ve got to stop him.”
The Thunder traveled to Houston after claiming its first win of the season at home Sunday, in a 120-92 victory over the Warriors.
