With Chris Paul resting Monday, point guard Shai Gilgeous-Alaexander is poised to take on a larger role in the Thunder’s second preseason clash with Dallas Monday.
“I think the biggest thing with Shai is wanting him to stay aggressive, want him to be who he is as a player," Thunder coach Billy Donovan said after practice Sunday. "But the other thing too is when he’s out there, quote-unquote as the sole point guard, the responsibility becomes a little different because he’s the primary ball handler -- so getting us in offense, getting the flow organized, generating good actions for the group, helping all those guys.
