Ty Jerome went down in the first hour of the first day of practice in Thunder training camp.
Jerome’s legs got caught underneath a teammate who dove on the floor, and an MRI revealed that Jerome suffered a high ankle sprain in his left ankle.
“I didn’t know how long it was gonna be at first,” Jerome told The Oklahoman. “I thought it was gonna be like a few weeks.”
But Jerome’s Thunder debut was delayed a few months, until Friday night, when the second-year guard played 22 minutes off the bench and recorded one of the best performances of his young NBA career.
