There was nobody close to Steven Adams, and the Chesapeake Energy Crowd was well aware.
So as Adams held the ball outside the 3-point line in the second quarter of Friday's 105-99 Thunder win against Miami, Oklahoma City fans began to shout “Shooooot!”
It was an absurd suggestion. Probably.
Then again Adams did most everything else against the Heat. He might well have made that, too.
The Oklahoma City's offensive engine got revved up in the fourth quarter, but for much the of the night, Adams had to get out and push.
He scored 24 points and grabbed 12 rebounds.
