Hamidou Diallo Agrees to to 3-Year, $4 Million Contract with Thunder

According to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski, the Thunder will sign second-round pick Hamidou Diallo to a 3-year, $4 million dollar contract. The deal gives Oklahoma City 15 guaranteed contracts ahead of next season — however, more moves are likely on the way.

Diallo was selected 45th overall by the Brooklyn Nets in the 2018 NBA Draft but had his rights purchased by the Thunder on draft night. He went on to impress in Vegas Summer League, averaging 10.8 points and 4.8 rebounds in just under 20 minutes per game. While he’s still extremely raw, his elite athleticism and upside made today’s news somewhat of a foregone conclusion.
