For the fourth straight game since the All-Star Break, the OKC Thunder came out extremely flat. Yet because of the nature of their schedule they find themselves 3-1 to start the “second half” of the season.
Oklahoma City jumped out to an early double-digit lead in the first quarter due to a balanced attack on both ends of the floor. Almost everybody was engaged offensively and defensively, leading to the much more talented team beating up on their opponent.
And then it all came apart.
The Thunder took their foot off the proverbial gas pedal, giving Dallas an opportunity to make the game close in the second half – at one point in the fourth quarter the Mavs had their lead up to seven.
