OKC is coming off a tough, last-second loss, courtesy of the Sacramento Kings. After a double-overtime thriller the night before against the Utah Jazz, Oklahoma City fell 119-116 to Sacramento. The match raised questions about OKC’s once league-leading defense, but more on that later.
The defeat was not stunning, as ESPN’s Royce Young noted beforehand that teams coming off a double-OT match were 0-5 over the last two years, OKC’s loss brought the record to 0-6. However, the Utah Jazz defeated the Dallas Mavericks later Saturday evening, improving that record to 1-6.
OKC lost their season series to the Kings and Celtics.
