On the back of a Paul George breakout game, the OKC Thunder finally snapped their four game losing streak. The win simultaneously produced the Thunder’s first win against a Western team in seven tries.
I love discussing Russell Westbrook, but as an OKC Thunder fan it was wonderful to witness another player be the primary reason for a victory. Finally, the team does not have to rely on their superstar point guard to get massive numbers for a win. George, who compiled 42 points, seven assists and nine rebounds, was the butter to the Westbrook toast.
It looks like the team meeting after the Denver loss has given the squad a clarity and direction they were previously lacking.
