Former Thunder Forward Steve Novak Out for Season

Steve Novak spent nearly a year with the Oklahoma City Thunder, acquired in 2015 along with Enes Kanter in a trade with the Utah Jazz. In that span, Novak played sparingly with Oklahoma City, appearing in just 20 games and scoring a total of 32 points. He was traded to Denver in mid-February along with D.J. Augustin in exchange for Randy Foye.

The Nuggets are in the midst of a rebuilding season and didn’t have any need for the 32-year-old shooter who was past his questionable prime. He was waived, effectively making him a free agent.
