I got a text from a Thunder employee at 1:55 a.m. Saturday. “Hi Berry you up?”
I didn’t hear the text. I was asleep. I usually am at 1:55 a.m. on anything but a college football Saturday night or an NBA playoff game night.
So I woke up around 7:30 a.m. and did what every American does in the 21st century. Grab my phone and see what happened since I went to bed. The answer almost always is, nothing much.
Except this time it did. Paul George traded to the Clippers.
Within an hour or so, I had to drive my 9-year-old granddaughter to her mixed martial arts class.
