The Thunder opened preseason with a 142-137 overtime loss to Real Madrid on Monday. As expected in the first real competition of the early season, there were positives and negatives.
Here are five observations from the thrilling game at the Barclaycard Center in Madrid.
1. OLADIPO ATTACK GUARD
The opening preseason game was an exercise in cause and effect. Some of the cause was intentional, like the plan to play Russell Westbrook only two quarters. The effect was Oladipo conducting the offense. Oladipo is used to it. Last season in Orlando, he flourished in the stretch he took over point guard duties from Elfrid Payton.
