OAKLAND, Calif. — It's not that Billy Donovan sleeps easier. Not exactly.
The Thunder coach always has his concerns about his team, he said Saturday, before Oklahoma City met the Golden State Warriors at Oracle Arena. That's true no matter the team or the level.
But as more details emerge about the FBI investigation into college basketball corruption, Donovan admits, the worries are different than they were when he was the head coach at Florida.
“One of the things that's hard is that when you have really, really good players (in college) that are guys that are potential NBA players, it's really, really hard to monitor what's going on away from your building,” Donovan said.
