The Thunder lead the league in personal fouls, with an average of 27.5 per game, entering play Wednesday.
“You’ve got possessions where we showed fouling that was too much,” Thunder coach Billy Donovan said Wednesday of the previous night’s performance. “Leaving our feet on shot fakes, reaching, those kind of things.”
Racking up 35 fouls in a 128-110 win over the Clippers Tuesday night only padded OKC's already NBA-leading mark. The fact that only four of those personal fouls came in the third quarter, could be taken both as a positive and a negative: The Thunder are capable of limiting their fouling, but they also aren’t doing it consistently, as evidenced by their double digit fouls in both the second and fourth quarters.
