Enes Kanter underwent successful surgery Friday on his fractured right forearm, the Thunder announced, and will be reevaluated in four weeks.
Kanter broke the ulna, the longer and thinner of the two forearm bones, on the side opposite the thumb, when he punched a chair on the Thunder bench in the second quarter of Thursday’s 109-98 win against the Dallas Mavericks.
In 47 games this season, Kanter is averaging 14.4 points and 6.7 rebounds and shooting 56.3 percent from the floor.
“I think as a coach, and for our staff, it’s really important with the depth of our team to try to uncover maybe some different opportunities to see some different things,” Thunder coach Billy Donovan said Thursday.
