At the end of the first quarter in tonight’s game, it seemed like it was going to be a signature Kevin Durant game. Then, when KD got a little cold in the third quarter, Russell Westbrook took over and it felt like would be a vintage Westbrook performance. But during the fourth quarter – and when it mattered most – it became the Enes Kanter show.
Anchoring the bench unit during a rough night offensively for both Dion Waiters and Cameron Payne, Kanter displayed both his bevy of post moves and deft shooting touch, preying on Kenneth Faried, who sagged off defensively for most of the game.
