DENVER – Midway through the second quarter of the Thunder's 132-129 win on Friday, Denver big man Jusef Nurkic posted up Enes Kanter, bashing into Kanter’s chest with every dribble.
So Kanter pulled out a trick he learned as a 20-year-old: He pulled the chair.
“When I saw him back up I was like ‘oh my gosh he’s gonna give this guy a dunk,’” Thunder coach Billy Donovan said. “All of a sudden the guy was off balance, so it was a pretty good play.”
Kanter started backing away from Nurkic and the Nuggets center was thrown off by the space that was vacated.
