This summer the NBA witnessed a mass exodus of superstars joining new teams either in free agency or trades. That’s not necessarily something new, but it was highlighted by trade demands and expedited agreements which couldn’t possibly have been negotiated without defying the tampering rules.
That led to Adam Silver and the Board of Governors reacting quickly especially when certain teams were so adversely affected. Although the New Orleans Pelicans (kudos to David Griffin) rebounded well they still lost an undeniable top 10 (arguably top 5) talent in Anthony Davis who forced his way out of New Orleans.
